PSN servers down for maintenance – Store return imminent?

We’ve seen a few reports of people not being able to access log-in features via the Playstation site and after looking into this ourselves we were greeted with an average maintenance notice.  Now whilst the log-in features may just be down for scheduled maintenance, they could also be down whilst final preperations for the stores return are made.

Could people in the UK be waking up to a gamers christmas with their freebie downloads? Or will we be kept waiting a few more days? We’ll know once the site is back online!
